The Times Business diary carries this story. As a former inmate, I just could not resist:
“Glenalmond, the Scottish school whose old boys include Lord Turner of Ecchinswell and Lord Falconer of Thoroton, was in the news this summer for a funny spoof video of students “chav hunting” with shotguns, which was misinterpreted by some humourless commentators. They are clearly an enterprising bunch. An e-mail is amusing old boys in the City, claiming “someone sold the Cricket Pavilion on eBay”. The school says: “We weren’t aware of it at this end.” Inquiries are being made of eBay. “

My thanks to a friend, a serious City lawyer, for the tip off!
