John Bolch of Family Lore, draws attention to the ‘utter collapse’ of the housing market with a thoughtful post. I’m not a practitioner and was not aware of the difficulties being faced by smaller firms of solicitors.

John Bolch’s post is worth reading… I quote: “The utter collapse of the housing market has meant that the ‘bread and butter’ regular domestic conveyancing income that such practices rely on has almost dried up, with the result that many firms are having to lay off staff.”

Perhaps The Law Society should be highlighting this in press releases to press and other media?
