Tonight I am talking to Ms Robinson, the author of the Woman of Experience blog. I am not entirely sure if this podcast should be in my ‘podcast’ series’ or be one of my “Charon After Dark” podcasts. What I can tell you is that Ms R is a good writer, has a great blog (non-law) and this is the first podcast where I have done (a) absolutely no research (other than having been a regular reader of her blog) and (b) where I had several glasses of Rioja while I did the podcast. It is about 35 minutes long – but… Ms R covers a great deal of ground. I did my best to ask questions! I enjoyed doing the podcast.
Listen to Podcast 68: Ms R – a Woman of Experience
[Pic provided by Ms R - naturally!]

God, I sound like I’ve been drinking..but I haven’t. And so Australian…
Ms R – Thanks for doing the podcast – enjoyed it.
I may have been having the odd sip of Rioja
Actually you sound like an Australian who’s been in London a bit long. Quick, get outa there, lest your accent becomes even more corrupted. Be proud, be strine.
A wonderful podcast by my Hareem Sister, if for no other reason than the fact that she got you to reveal that you stroll around your staterooms wearing nothing but a Kimono!!!!
Lawminx – indeed I do… a blue and white Yukata. Worn these for years – very comfortable. I do, of course, put on a dinner jacket for law podcasts.
I shall have to make sure I take a listen! And she’s wearing my favourite pair of Guantanamo Orange undies!
thank you..I felt it was not very structured -because it wasn’t but that is the effect Charon had on me. I’m glad you approve.I am en route to Switzerland but will link to my blog when I get there
What a fantastic podcast – it made me think and it made me laugh in equal measures. And I wasn’t put off at all by the sound of a certain someone lighting cigarettes and pouring Rioja … honest!
It was particularly interesting to hear a little about Ms R’s life outside the blog and her reasons for blogging. And, of course, I have to thank you for the mention – to be mentioned alongside Ms Hansen and Luka is an honour indeed
And I too am pleased, Charon, to hear that you averted your gaze from the picture of Ms R in her undies … it must have made putting this piece onto your blog particularly tricky
Oh Charon, Sir!! I feel so very privileged to have been given a mention in your podcast with the lovely Ms R! I did smile when I heard you mention HNT… can we perhaps tempt you to delight us with a Rioja-flavoured HNT?
I’m sure Ro would be more than happy to give you tips on camera angles and the secret to click-throughs!
I’m off to listen to the podcast again (you have such wonderful dulcet tones), and I’ll try to titillate you again this week with my HNT pics!
Helga
I’m glad you enjoyed the podcast – HNT may just be a step too far for me
But… you never know…. keep the good work up!!
Charon, you interrupted the divine Ms R just as she was saying how great I am!
And that was the best bit!
Tsk.
Luka
Pity…. but you must admit… it was difficult to get a word in! Mind you, It allowed me time to pour some wine….
I can see your dilemma, of course.
And, to be honest, I am simply delighted to have warranted a mention at all.
Luka
I have visited your blog – good writing…. good stuff. Liked the header graphic.
Charon, thank you! If you like silliness with a dash of angst and a regular helping of exhibitionism then the Boudoir is for you.
I made that header myself. I hardly went over the lines at all.
Luka… silliness with a dash of angst… right up my street!
Excellent…. have added Barbed Wire Boudoir to blogroll.
Oh, Ms Hansen – I will most happily help young Charon with his HNT requirements … anything to please his female fans
I was tipsy and overexcited to be interviewed. It is rather scary really. I much prefer to write.
i enjoyed it very much – you both kept me company while i cooked supper, and i even put the children in the garden so i could have some peace. I liked the natural pace, very intimate. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome podcast- never realised Ms R was an aussie!
Plenty of conversation about knickers, extremely informative, I’m sure there’s some sort of law involved there somewhere!
Charon! I had no Idea that you were a closet Sumo Wrestler!!!!
!!!
how on earth would you do sumo in a closet, you daft minx?
lol simply perhaps there is much wrestling WITH the closet, rather than wrestling INSIDE it!
so a lardy japanese geezer in a nappy is going to be picking a fight with a wardrobe? somebody’s been at the Brains again.
(just listened to your podcast – you’re so bloody welsh you)
LawMinx… I am a bit too slim to be a sumo wrestler – but I did do kendo for five years in an earlier time – and still have several katana and bokken.
In fact… I have, it has to be said, been known to get my Katana out occasionally and do a few moves. An ex-wife of mine used to get very irritated when I cut pineapples up at dinner parties in the late eighties with my samurai sword. Looking back – I can well understand why. Seemed a good idea at the time…
Obviously, as the katana is a very big knife – I don’t tend to wander about in public with it.
Oh. My. Word!!! Pineapple slicing with a samurai sword!?! I’d so love to have seen that!!
And an ex-wife… how many have you had??
Helga
Strange but true… on the sword front. I don’t do it any more. I find it easier to buy pineapple chunks in tins – like most sensible people.
I shall draw a veil over the rest of the question.
mr p, where are you when we need you?
(REALLY Simply, just because Mr P is a Pineapple thats no cause to have him, sliced, with flourish by a Samuri Sword! )
LawMinx – Mr P is most welcome on this blog and will not be sliced into chunks. He seems to have gone quiet recently.
I think he must be on the case, so to speak!
or on a market stall for sale.
Where are we all going with this?
Thank you all especially the cutie, Rock n Law
Ms R… I have absolutely no idea – with each comment the discussion becomes more surreal. How is Switzerland? Still neutral?
Simply, Mr P is perhaps a bit TOO ripe for your average market stall…… ( sorry Ms R, tis Simply, mah Zen Dawg, and I must indulge him!!)
you leave my thread drift alone – as some of ms r’s obnoxious countrymen said when douglas jardine was spotted swatting a fly on his neck while fielding in the bodyline series: ‘oi, jardine leave our f***ing flies alone!’
i am indeed zen dawg and i will be undertaking a zen pupillage next year if things don’t turn around…
ms r, you are indeed beautiful, but you are young: worry not about the destination; enjoy the journey.
and he threw a bowl of rice over and laughed.
(advance apologies for hijacking thread) How goes it on the hunt for the elusive pupilage, Zen? My Running Total; Interviews:4 (2 further to come in the second round) OLPAS rejections to date :6. GRAND total rejections: (OLPAS + Non OLPAS) 9. I hope my blog comes back soon so I can start handing out the Freddies……!!
numbers are meaningless. i have my only final interview (from 7!!! i’m bad) tomorrow. the weird thing has been that of the c12 non-olpas apps i made i got only one interview. 6 from 12 olpas. i had thought it would be the other way round. i hear the gls is a path strewn with diamonds!
snaps a chopstick and pokes lawminx: ’see? that is your ‘wisdom’”
and simon jones not selected as too welsh. at least he can bat.
Lets hope its a lucky 7!
for flintoff and for your fave dawg.
interestingly, there may or may not be the number 7 in the name of the chambers.
